Monsters have both fascinated and terrified humans for centuries. From ancient mythology to contemporary culture, monsters have been used as symbols for various concepts such as the unknown, otherness and the subconscious.
MONSTRUM features a diverse and thought provoking collection of work by an impressive group of Tai Tokerau artists including: Hayley Clark, Rosy & Rich, Alicia Courtney, Amorangi Hikuroa, Andrea Beazley, Dave Beazley, Rebecca Moore, Rachael Pedersen, Hamish Oakley-Browne and Martinus Sarangapany.
We warmly invite you to explore the darker corners of your imagination, delve into the unknown and discover the beauty in the grotesque.
