Her industry experience as a practising artist, curator and gallery owner, provides a unique perspective on what it takes to develop a body of work and successfully exhibit in the visual arts realm.

Mentoring Support: It's not uncommon in any art practice to come up against a block or feel like you have plateaued. All too often an artist gives up. This DOES NOT need to be the case for you! Engaging an experienced mentor such as Megan is an invaluable way to move forward.

How it works

Your mentoring journey begins with a one hour in-depth consultation.

Online Mentoring: Megan will assess your current art practice and discuss your aspirations. From there, she'll provide personalized guidance and direction to help you achieve your goals. In your initial consultation, we establish where your art practice stands, where you want to take it, and what you need to advance it. Further mentoring sessions are flexible and scheduled according to your needs. Sessions are conducted online via Zoom for convenience, allowing you to participate from anywhere in the world.

Studio Visits: Megan is more than happy to accomodate studio visits anywhere in the world depending on your budget. There is no doubt that a studio visit is an invaluable experience for any artist, providing in person critique and guidance. Please contact us to enquire about this unique service.

What you get

Each individualised mentoring session is tailored to your specific needs and pace, ensuring that you receive personalized support every step of the way. Whether you need assistance with technique development, personal style, building a portfolio, or career planning, we're here to help.

Megan will help you identify which ideas or concepts to pursue and the reasons why. This enables you to prioritise your focus to successfully create a cohesive body of work.

Megan will provide an honest and experienced critique helping you to clarify your art strengths and determine what you need to work on.

You will learn where your art sits in the contemporary art world. Coming to terms with this concept eliminates unnecessary rejection and empowers you to pursue suitable avenues.

When payment has been received we will email you to schedule your first session.

How much will it cost?

Your initial one hour consultation is $120 (NZD). Follow-up consultations are $100 per hour.

How many sessions will I need?

Megan is happy to support your art journey according to your needs. We have found that during the initial consultation it becomes apparent where your art practice stands, where you want to take it, and what you need to advance it.

Some artists prefer a regular monthly session, while others who are working towards a deadline benefit from weekly sessions for a limited period.

Sometimes one session is enough to kickstart your next project and that is just fine.

How long is each session?

Each session is a duration of one hour. In our experience this is enough time to determine your next steps without the overwhelm!

What do I need for my first online session?

You will need a quiet space with internet access and a suitable device with a camera. We conduct these sessions via zoom so you will need to download this before we meet. Megan will expect to see examples of your work during the session. It's important that you have these ready so we can maximise the time at hand. We will email you a checklist prior to your first session to ensure you are ready to begin!
