Elsie Andrewes

Elsie is a Fijian born artist based in Whangārei. Her art practice, which is deeply inspired by her heritage, spans both traditional and digital media. Andrewes is interested in portraiture, botanical illustrations and surrealist concepts. Most of her works are completed with and for the Pacific people in mind, utilising vibrant colours and traditional design. Andrewes has completed commissioned works for Huia Publishers, World Bank, Talanoa, Vosa Podcast and Witness Performance.
